Scope. This document applies only to WAN Sync, an optional feature of SaveSync. WAN Sync is off by default and you must accept these terms before it can be enabled.
SaveSync is distributed through Steam and does not have a separate end user licence agreement. Your purchase of SaveSync, your Steam account, and your use of Steam are governed by Valve’s Steam Subscriber Agreement, directly between you and Valve.
This document does not replace or modify the Steam Subscriber Agreement. It covers only the WAN Sync tunnel service, which we operate on our own servers, outside Steam, and which the Steam Subscriber Agreement therefore does not address.
By accepting, you agree to Parts A, B and D, and you consent to the processing described in Part C.
WAN Sync makes a server running on your machine or local network reachable from the public internet. Your device opens an outbound connection to one of our tunnel servers, and we assign you a public address on that server. Traffic sent to that address is forwarded to your local service.
Anyone who has your tunnel address can reach your local service. The address is public. It is not protected by a password unless your own service requires one.
Because traffic is relayed, the address the public sees is our tunnel server’s. Your own IP address is never exposed to people connecting to your tunnel.
You decide what to expose and to whom. You are solely responsible for:
Exposing a service to the internet invites automated scanning and attack within minutes. We provide the tunnel; we do not provide, review, or secure whatever sits behind it, and we are not responsible for it being compromised.
You must not use WAN Sync to host, serve, relay, or facilitate:
You must not attack, probe, overload, or attempt unauthorised access to our tunnel servers, or resell, sublicense, or share WAN Sync capacity with people who do not hold their own SaveSync licence.
We may inspect connection metadata, rate-limit, suspend, or permanently block any tunnel or Steam ID we reasonably believe is in breach of section 3, without notice and at our sole discretion. We may respond to abuse reports and comply with lawful requests, including by disclosing the metadata described in section 9.
A WAN Sync block affects the WAN Sync feature only. It does not revoke your SaveSync licence and does not affect the rest of the application.

Your licence to install and use SaveSync, including the WAN Sync client, is granted under the Steam Subscriber Agreement. We do not grant a separate software licence here and nothing in this document narrows the rights you have under that agreement.
WAN Sync is included with SaveSync at no additional charge. It is not sold separately and is not the sole subject of your purchase.
In addition to the Steam Subscriber Agreement, you must not operate the WAN Sync client independently of SaveSync, reimplement or emulate it in order to reach our tunnel servers, or share, resell, or automate access to WAN Sync capacity on behalf of people who do not hold their own SaveSync licence.
SaveSync, WAN Sync, and all associated software, documentation, branding, and server infrastructure are owned by PIXELPUNCH LLP and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
WAN Sync incorporates the following third-party software, used under its own licence:
Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation.
PIXELPUNCH LLP, contactable at support@savesync.games, is the data controller for information processed through WAN Sync.
We hold an account record in our database, keyed to your Steam ID, containing:
This account record is the only thing we store. We do not keep separate connection or access logs.
Our tunnel server necessarily receives your IP address to carry the connection, which is unavoidable for any relay. However:
WAN Sync is a relay. Everything sent to and from your exposed service transits our tunnel servers. We do not store or inspect it.
Do not expose anything over WAN Sync that you would not want passing through third-party infrastructure, and do not treat the tunnel as a secure or private channel unless your own service provides encryption.
SaveSync reads some Steam information locally on your machine, including your friends list and your game library. This is read on your device through Steam’s own interfaces and is never transmitted to our servers.
Our servers never receive your friends list, your game library, your email address, or your Steam password or login tokens. SaveSync never asks for them.

A Steam ID is a persistent identifier tied to a publicly viewable profile, so we treat it as personal data. Where other data protection laws apply to you, processing is carried out on the basis of the consent you give when enabling WAN Sync.
We do not keep connection logs, access logs, or traffic logs at all. There is no rolling log that expires on a timer, because there is no log.
Your account record described in section 9, being your Steam ID, your selected server region, and your tunnel history, is kept for as long as the account exists. It does not expire automatically. We keep it because it is what makes your tunnels work consistently and lets us trace abuse back to an account.
To have it deleted, email support@savesync.games from any address, quoting your SteamID64. We will erase the record within 30 days. This is the only way it is removed, so if you stop using WAN Sync and want the record gone, you need to ask.
Aggregate, non-identifying counts, such as the total number of tunnels opened per day, may be retained indefinitely. These cannot be traced back to you.
We do not sell your data or use advertising or analytics trackers.
We operate from India. Our tunnel servers are located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, and Australia, and you choose which one you connect to.
The regional tunnel servers do not store anything. They relay packets between you and the people connecting to your tunnel, and hold nothing once a packet has been forwarded. They do not keep your traffic and they do not hold the account records described in section 9.
The account records in section 9 are stored in Cloudflare D1, with its primary location set to Asia Pacific (APAC).
Traffic still crosses borders in transit, and your account records are held outside your own country, so using WAN Sync involves international transfer of data. Where data belonging to users in the EEA is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. For users in the United Kingdom we rely on the same clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. You may request a copy of the safeguards in place by contacting us.
The connection between the SaveSync client and our tunnel servers is encrypted in transit. Access to backend records is restricted to the SaveSync development team at PIXELPUNCH LLP. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, to object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Because records are identified by Steam ID, we can act on requests referencing your SteamID64. To verify a request we may ask you to demonstrate control of the account, for example by temporarily setting a code in your Steam profile.
Disable WAN Sync at any time. This closes the tunnel and stops all transmission immediately. To also delete existing records, email support@savesync.games with your SteamID64 and we will erase them within 30 days. You may also request a copy of what we hold.
WAN Sync is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no uptime or availability guarantee. Tunnels may drop, assigned addresses may change, and we may modify, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue WAN Sync at any time without notice. Doing so does not entitle you to a refund of the SaveSync purchase price, except where required by law. Refunds for SaveSync are handled by Valve under the Steam Refund Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from WAN Sync, including compromise of an exposed service, data loss or disclosure, tunnel downtime, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss.
Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to WAN Sync will not exceed the amount you paid for SaveSync in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in this document limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of these sections may not apply to you.
You are responsible for any claim, demand, or complaint brought against us arising from what you chose to expose through the tunnel or from your breach of section 3.
You may stop using WAN Sync at any time by disabling it. We may terminate your access to WAN Sync under section 4. Sections 7, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27 and 28 survive termination.
If we change what WAN Sync records or why, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use it. The version and date at the top of this document will be updated.
SaveSync is an independent tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Your Steam account and your use of Steam remain governed by Valve’s own terms, directly between you and Valve.
WAN Sync requires SaveSync and a Steam account, and Valve’s Steam Subscriber Agreement already sets the minimum age for holding one. If you meet Valve’s requirement for your Steam account, you meet ours.
This document is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Pune, India have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections under the law of your country of residence.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. This document is the entire agreement between you and us regarding the WAN Sync service and supersedes any prior understanding. It operates alongside, and does not displace, the Steam Subscriber Agreement between you and Valve.
