Sunkenland is a post-apocalyptic ocean survival game - think Waterworld - where you scavenge sunken ruins, build island bases, and fight off raiders. In co-op, the world is shared: you dive for salvage, fortify the base, and defend it together. But the world save lives with the host, so when they are offline the whole island is stranded.

How SaveSync Keeps the Base Afloat

SaveSync syncs your Sunkenland save to every player. After each session the latest world is distributed automatically, and any player can load it and host. No one waits on a single person to keep the base running.

Setting Up SaveSync for Sunkenland

Install SaveSync from Steam - every player needs it.

  1. Click Sunkenland in the list on the left. You’ll see Sunkenland’s save management page.
  2. Click “+ New Save” in the top right.
  3. Select your world from the dialog of available worlds.
  4. Click “Create Save”. The save starts syncing.
  5. Wait for the green checkmark.
  6. Click the share icon on your save.
  7. Search for your friend’s Steam username and click Share.
  8. Your friend clicks “Activate” on the shared save, which shows as shared by you. The world is ready, they can host it, and it syncs automatically after that.

SaveSync also keeps a full save history: who uploaded which save and when, with the option to revert to any earlier one.

Why SaveSync Beats the Alternatives

  • No manual transfers. Skip zipping the save folder for Discord before every dive.
  • No lost salvage. An old save undoes a session of building and scavenging. SaveSync keeps everyone current.
  • No server bill. A group of friends does not need a paid dedicated server - whoever hosts the latest save covers it.
