The catch is that Big Walk keeps the group’s progress on whoever hosted, and only the original host can resume that saved journey. Rotating hosts means moving the save, and doing that by hand is exactly where things go wrong.

Why Rotating Hosts Is Hard by Default

Big Walk auto-saves your progress on the host’s machine, and ownership stays there. Hand the walk to a different player and you are zipping up the LocalLow save folder, sending it over Discord, and hoping nobody loads an old copy and wipes out a session of puzzles and discoveries. One stale save and the rotation falls apart.
